The aim of the new Particle Therapy MasterClass (PTMC) was to develop an educational and training environment in which anyone can learn about fundamental applied research particle therapy. PTMC recently integrated into International 2021 online programme that attracted 1500 students from 37 institutes 20 countries, worldwide. focuses on topic cancer treatment, a particularly sensitive socially relevant topic. main idea is (a) provide basic understanding radiation therapy, (b) demonstrate properties interactions with matter, are used for detection physics experiments, also basis treating tumours; (c) show same accelerator technologies both, laboratories therapy centres. For hands-on session, open-source professional treatment planning software matRad used, developed by German Cancer Research Center – DKFZ. Ultimately, shown “what has do medicine” what various possibilities STEM studies may open up job opportunities fields lacking expert personnel.
